March with the IWW in the May Day Parade!

iww march

Fellow Workers and friends:

The IWW has gotten a spot in the “Free Speech Zone” of this year’s May Day Parade, and it’s time we celebrate the international worker’s holiday in style!

We have several active and public campaigns right now and we have a great opportunity to show folks how energetic, active, and great our union is! Let’s have an awesome showing & show everyone else at the parade and festival this Sunday just how strong, awesome, and full of beautiful workers the Twin Cities IWW is!

We meet at NOON on Sunday, May 5 at Cedar Field (25th ST & Cedar Ave). We will have a few banners and some flags but feel free to bring your own and dress in your favorite wobbly clothes.

The parade starts at 1 PM and reaches Powderhorn Park at 3PM.

This will be kid friendly, musical instrument friendly (but keep in mind we march for 2 hours before you bring anything too heavy), and no amplification allowed (including bullhorns).

MARK YOUR CALENDARS & feel free to invite your friends & family. Spread the word that the IWW plans on looking proud and strong in the Mayday Parade.
